What Xtic runs

nodetool snapshot -t xtic-<run> -- ks1 ks2   # then tar the snapshot files and clearsnapshot

Shown with placeholders. Credentials never appear on a command line: they reach the tool through the environment, a file descriptor or a short-lived file in memory.

Restore paths

• Apply schema.cql, copy files into each table's upload directory, then nodetool refresh --load-and-stream

Verification

Snapshot files present per table. Every artifact is also hashed, and the stored copy is read back and compared before the run counts as verified.

Version rule

Restore into the same major version.

• Snapshots are per node, not globally consistent
• Licence and editions: ScyllaDB 2025.1 and later is source-available with a free tier — preflight shows an information note.
